Permanent installation
PURPOSE:
Total refurbishment, ventilation and air handling for 5 rooms in the adult haematology ward (Level 2, Building 2).
AIM:
- Achieve an air change rate of 6 vol/h in the 5 rooms;
- Supply air via an absolute filtration stage (H14);
- Achieve a 5-log bacteria reduction upstream of the terminal filtration;
- Eliminate at least 70% of chemical pollutants, in particular organic pollutants specific to the activity in the ward;
- Maintain a setpoint temperature of 20°C.

PROPOSED SOLUTION:
NB:
The proposed solution enables ISO 7 clean room classification to be achieved if the establishment so wishes. The R4000 unit only uses an air-flow of 1350 m3/h.
– SAINT-BRIEUC
Mobile installation
PURPOSE:
An R4000 mobile air handling unit (Aspergillus decontamination in a haematology-oncology room)
AIM:
- ISO 7 with regard to particles,
- M1 fungal classification in the presence of people,
- No overpressure.
PROPOSED SOLUTION:
Installation of an R4000 mobile air handling unit.
AT THE PLANNING STAGE:
Creation of ISO 7 rooms with overpressure and temperature treatment, connection of a new R4000 unit in a common airlock which will supply two diffuser ceilings (during 2017, pre-costing estimate of < €70K excluding VAT, air handling supply and installation).
Mobile installation
PURPOSE:
Additional air handling in the operating theatre (orthopaedics)
AIM:
- ISO 5
PROPOSED SOLUTION:
Installation of an R4000 mobile air handling unit in the operating theatre.
Mobile installation
PURPOSE:
Control recurring Aspergillus contamination in the cytostatic reconstitution unit.
AIM:
- Absence of Aspergillus in the Clinical Research Unit environment.
PROPOSED SOLUTION:
Deployment of an R4000 mobile unit in the CRU.
Permanent installations
PURPOSE:
Refurbishment of 2 operating theatres.
AIM:
- ISO 5

PROPOSED SOLUTION:
Installation of one permanent air handling unit per operating theatre. The R4000 units are placed outside the theatres and connected:
- to the supply: to a supply strip in the theatre,
- to the return: to a mixing plenum with new air inlet (for overpressurisation) and return in the theatre (for recycling) + temperature management (cooling battery and electric battery).
Mobile installation
PURPOSE:
Additional air handling in the operating theatre.
AIM:
- ISO 5
PROPOSED SOLUTION:
Installation of an R4000 mobile air handling unit in the operating theatre, achievement of ISO 5 classification.

Permanent installation – operating theatre
PURPOSE:
Design of air handling for the operating theatre

AIM:
- Class 4 risk zone
- ISO 5, M1
- Improvement of the acoustics and turbulence in another operating theatre (ISO 5)
PROPOSED SOLUTION:
Installation of an AHU equipped with non-thermal catalysis in the orthopaedic operating theatre, overpressure and temperature management.
PURPOSE:
Improve the air quality.
AIM:
- ISO 7
PROPOSED SOLUTION:
Installation of an R4000 mobile air handling unit.

Mobiles installations
PURPOSE:
Control recurring Aspergillus contamination in the care unit

AIM:
- Absence of Aspergillus throughout the sensitive part of the ward.
PROPOSED SOLUTION:
Deployment of two R4000 mobile units at both ends of the ward corridor, destroying all the Aspergillus spores and maintaining this level at all times during activity
Trial prior to permanent installation
PURPOSE:
Additional air handling in the operating theatre while awaiting a permanent installation
AIM:
- ISO 5

PROPOSED SOLUTION:
Deployment of an R4000 mobile unit in an operating theatre.
AT THE PLANNING STAGE:
Work begun in week 34.
Refurbishment of 3 operating theatres to ISO5 with overpressurisation and temperature treatment.
Installation of 3 R4000 units at the end of August 2016.
